Wonderous Wishing Well
The wishing well is a random, raffle-based activity. Once a month every player can throw in coins to wish for a prize! Every wish will win something, with rewards ranging from coins to familiar items or aesthetic items. The most valued prize is the Elder's Tear. Ready to try your luck?
To play, choose a character, the number of coins you'd like to toss into the well, and provide a short story (2-5 sentences) describing how your character places their coins into the well.
When you are ready, click "Make a Wish" to submit your story and receive your prize!

Rána had to admit, she didn’t quite understand why people threw shiny things into the well, only that they did. Someone had once explained that it was for wishes, and though she didn’t entirely understand, the tiny lunar found herself before the water all the same. Watching the coins fall from her hands with a fixated curiosity, the little thing giggled. “Is it supposed to talk back?”

Something seemed to be weighing on the small shiji's mind. Something odd. Or rather, something heavy. Whatever the weight of it was, it was not enough to bow his form and he meandered towards the well with a small smile. Still, there was never a bad time for wishes, and while his wishes were usually simple, things of little to no consequence..this time, he wished for something meatier. Something more substantial--a wish he would hold close to his heart, something he kept near and dear and spoke of to nobody--not even Asclepius, who always listened. No, this wish was for the well and the well only. With a silent, yet heartfelt wish, he tossed his bi into the mouth of the well.

Apollo whistled softly as he sat on the edge of the well, focused entirely on what he was doing. "This might tickle a little, but I think you'll love the results." he told the well as if he expected a response in return. The shiji had woven gold into the cracked gaps of the stone, not only fortifying the rock, but making it look stunning. "There." he smiled with satisfaction. "It ain't much, but those shouldn't crumble any more." He tossed a bi into the chasm, picking himself and his tools off of the ledge, softly whistling a tune as he headed home.

Xiao Liang had not taken part of this ritual before. At least not that he recalled. There were many things that the celestial could remember and many things that seemed tangible until they slipped through his fingers. But one such thing that Xiao Liang was certain of was the comforting presence by his side would never leave.
"Haiyan-zhi said I simply must...toss it in?" He asked quizzically, uncertain of the reasoning of ridding oneself of money by tossing it into drinking water. It seemed unsanitary. The dark concealed male beside him simply smiled as bright as he ever did, a hand politely urging the pale celestial on. "Indeed. It will grant Xiao Liang his wildest wishes. Or so they say."
Looking doubtful, he held a single coin for each of them and then quickly tossed them in, silently wishing for the benefit of others. Beside him he felt a cool hand slide to encircle his waist and he smiled.

Today, with the first blush of dawn, Jin flicked a golden scale from his side. It shimmered in the morning light, more valuable than any coin forged by man. With a gentle sigh, he whispered a wish: "Let the world stay in balance a little longer." He held the scale between two long claws, then flipped it high into the air. It spun, catching the rising sun, and fell—plink—into the depths of the wishing well. Silence. Then, a gust of wind rippled through the valley. The river, long dry, began to flow. Blossoms bloomed out of season. Jin smiled, smoke curling from his nostrils. Wishes were fragile things, but sometimes, even a dragon needed hope. He turned and soared into the sky, leaving behind only the echo of wings—and the glint of luck at the bottom of a well.

Despite traveling to the Wishing Well during the spooky season, Jack found this area of Tianshu seemed to be well taken care of. No sign of spiderwebs or crumbling mortar or any bit of disrepair. Hardly anything looked to be in the spirit of the season at all! Mildly disappointed, Jack flipped a few coins into the awaiting reservoir and wished for something out of the ordinary to happen.

It had been a while since Vidalia had visited the wishing well, mayhaps something like another life she had been here. She's a little lost right now. Taking a coin from her pocket, she pressed it to her lips to whisper a quick wish before flipping it into the depths. "I wish for a sign. Guide me please.."

Every day Bo heard and passed by the wishing well but never stopped to toss a coin. Because he never thought he needed to wish for something, he already had quite the sweet life, made by hard work and loving his family. But why not give it a try? With a smile he let five coins slip from his hand. With a satisfying 'plop' when they touched the water, they silently sank into it. Maybe he would be lucky!

Always heard of the well known Wishing Well, but never visited it. Now, here he is with coins in hand with no expression on face. Why not see what it would "gift" him with? He extended arm out and over the well before dropping the coins to their watery grave than turned his back to the well.
